Hey all,
Just passing along some feedback. Because of my new baby in the house, I’ve decided to switch from enamels to acrylics. I decided to try the Model Master acrylic flat finish vs. the lacquer finish. Well, the acrylic finish is first rate without the nasty fumes of the lacquer. If you haven’t tried it, do it; it’s well worth it.
Later,
Jesse
Did you airbrush it or apply it manually? Can definitely relate to the fumes…I’ve always had to wait for nice weather outdoors to be able to apply seal coats.
I switched to acrylic as well, and I really like them. The flats really are nice
I airbrushed them. It went on great and you can’t compete with the clean up!!!
I agree with that. The only problem I seem to have is even though I run a whole bottle of cleaner through the brush when I am done, the needle wants to stick the next time. I read somewhere that a little PAM on the needle helps, so I may give that a try
Do you back flush your airbrush, that might help?
I find that acrylics work better too. They dry faster and allow you finish models quicker.
