I think this is done, I have a feeling I forgot something But i can’t figure it out so its done for now.
Now for a little bad mouthing of accurate miniture, their decals are thick as boot leather, There were three parts missing the most important was the prop hub cal. The good thing is the fit , the parts go together well.

Looks good to me too! In most photos I have seen of SBD’s the upper speed brakes are closed on the ground, but who’s to say the way you have them isn’t just as good. I hate it when decals give me fits, especially on a model finished as nice as your SBD.

It seems more and more some companies are skimping when it comes to the decals. If I do not see something like Cartograph printed on the sheet I do’nt use them. Even some higher dollar kits are starting to come with some pretty crummy decals. Nice SBD-3. It remindes me i’ve been neglecting my WWII US Navy stash way to long.

Nice work on the Dauntless. I’m going to have to do a Navy bomber someday. I’ve never had any issuse with Accurate Miniatures decals, the ones I’ve used have always snuggled down nicely. Perhaps that’s just an issue with this particular kit. You seemed to pull it off well, so give yourself a good pat on the back, you deserve it!!
Nice. Love the Camo. Came out really well. Pics were a little dark but could still it just. lol. Why is it that so many times, our labors of love get shafted at the final hurdle by dodgy decals. Of all the stuff ive built since coming back to this great hobby i would say that 33% of them have had crappy decals. Anyways. Your decals look ok in your pics. You should be proud of this one.

Nice looking SBD!! I built the -2 version from AM and loved it, only complaint I had was on some sketchy steps in the instructions. As for decals, here is the tail of mine showing a Midway Dauntless, lots and lots of Solv-a-set!!
