I’m ready to start my Avenger. I know there is some issue with the installation of the turret and Accurate Miniatures had a PDF to help further explain the installation. Since their website is now down, does anyone have copy of those instructions?

“Fermis” is your man…lol! If you search back in the aircraft forum, theres a post about exactly this topic. I was helping someone and Fermis jumped in cause I was wrong too…lol! I tink the post should help you. I`ll try looking it up.

It’s been quite a few years since I built my last one, but I do remember that the fit is super tight ! I painted the turret before installing. To get it installed, put one edge in the “socket” a little bit and twist it around, it’s super tight but will go eventually, just keep twisting and applying light pressure. After the turret is in, then you can install the canopy. I masked off the whole turret and rear canopy openning.
The best method I’ve found is to mask/paint/install the turret into the rear deck before joining the fuselage halves. This avoids the entire headache all together.
I used a small amount of white lithium grease on the lip of the turret…helped it slide into position and helps it to rotate after it`s in position.
