Accurate Miniatures SB2U-1 Vindicator Question

I am building both the Special Hobby and Pavla Vought Vindicators kits in 1/72nd scale, one as a SB2U-1 the other as the SB2U-2. I am building both in the prewar US Navy scheme with aluminum lacquer or varnish on the aluminum skinned portions and silver dope on the fabric. In all of the photos, the “silver” has a distinctly different appearance, with the fabric appearing brighter. The photo of the built kit of the 1/48th scale SB2U-1 on the Accurate Miniatures web site has this very well simulated. I was hoping somebody would be able to tell me what colors Accurate Miniatures has listed in their instructions to achieve that effect. I have several other aircraft of the period that need the same effect. Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my question.

The AM instructions only list Aluminum FS 17178. No reference is made to another color for these surfaces. I also checked the instructions for the HiPM Vindicator and it lists the same thing. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

Having no idea of exactly how the box photo model was painted, I have seen some great models listed on this forum where several different shades/colors of silvers and metallics are used on different panels of parts of the plane to create a nice contrast.
