In the building of Dragon’s 234/4, I have realized that there is quite a bit of the interior exposed. I am needing to find a power source (battery) and some other little details for the radio and also where can I find helmet liners?
Thanks, doc

Aber makes a set of helmet liners, straps and decals. Here is a review; http://www.missing-lynx.com/reviews/figures/aber35a69.htm
There are numerous radio sets, I have an old Verlinden one in the stash somewhere, don’t know if it has a battery though. I’ll see if I can find it and take a look.
Check Squadron.com for armor accessories.
Thanks guys. I could not find a battery, so I built one up/scratchbuilt from sheet styrene. I just counted all of the parts, it came up to 24! parts. It’s a good thing that I did’nt know that ahead of time because I’m not so sure I would have built one. I’ll post some pictures of it later today.
I was just about to say, I scratched mine for my Hetzer interior. YOu don’t reallly have to make them 100% accurate, IMHO, just a good representation of a box with some dials and wire, really.
Good for you and your initiative!
Guys, here’s the pic’s.
. It looks a lot better in the flesh or whatever.
model car batteries and a few other things are useful here.just look for a junk yard lot on evil-bay under 1/25 cars.[tup]
Thanks detailfreek, but car batteries are to small and new for these beasts. The batteries at that point in time were larger and dated technology.
just an idea doc.great looking build though .looking forward to seeing the finished product.by the way does this kit come with an interior? obviously it must be open topped.[tup][tup]
detailfreak, most of the interior comes with the kit. I just have to add the extras that would be seen through the open top fighting compartment.

the view you have shown leads me to believe this vehicle can be driven from either end ?correct?
doc-hm3 - Lookin’ really good. I just love scratch-built stuff and your battery is top notch!
Can’t wait to see some more!
Mark
That’s the spirit! It looks great!
Detailfreak, the 234/ 8-rad series /1, /2, /3 & /4 were all scout vehicles. Your assumption is correct in that they were designed with front and rear drivers positions to allow them to get out of thier scouting position in a stealthy manor, or to get out of trouble in a hurry. This version is the last of the series, the 234/4 w/pak40-75mm gun.
Dragon makes all 4 of these beautiful kits, but beware the suspension is detailed to the max, well almost. There is over 570 pieces in this version. I have ellected to articulate the 8 wheeled system, it is a little tricky but can be done. This build, hopefully is going to be the centerpiece for my first diorama.
Thanks for the comments guys, doc
