Did I imagine it, or did academy until recently have a PR version of the Mk XIV on their website? I’d quite like to track one down.

I have never seen one, but if they ever did, you can bet your a** that it would be wrong. Both their Mk XIV’s in 1/48th scale (a high-back and a low-back) are awful and the 1/72nd scale XIV is worse.
We really need a manufacturer to give us a good Mk XIV Spitfire in 1/48th scale. Academy really dropped the ball.
