They released a series of motorized 1/48 scale armor around the time Tamiya first re-entered 1/48 scale. They shared a common lower hull with motorization and rubber band tracks. A couple of Chinese companies did the same thing, Kitech and Zhengdefu. Their Challenger, M1, T-72, Bradley, etc. would all have the same lower hull, suspension and tracks.
prolly not worth looking at, then. and likely not a lotta detail. oh well…
BTW: That’s not a Leopard 2, it’s a JGSDF Type 90
