Academy M60A1 W/dozer blade M728 CEV questions

Has anybody built or looked inside this model? I was wondering if in fact it truly is a real M728 CEV with the 165MM gun and crane. Or is it just an M60 with a dozer blade? .

I also see that a company makes a conversion http://www.perfect-scale.de/Umbau--und-Zuruestsaetze-1---35/M728-CEV-Conversion-Kit.html?XTCsid=2f0454425d127e0a75db49e98c5284b7

Does anybody in the states sell it?

Do I need to add that to the academy model to make it correct?

Thanks.

The Academy kit is an M60A1 with a dozer blade. It doesn’t have the plumbing or the oil reservoir for operating the blade. The kit isn’t an M728 and it’s not really a blade tank either. I haven’t seen the conversion kit you speak of, but I’d guess if you want an M728 you’ll need it or some other and an M60 kit.

The Academy kit is simply an M60A1 w/a dozer, which is incomplete since it deosn’t include the hydraulic fluid resevoiur on the left rear fender, nor the hydraulic lines for the blade.

I haven’t seen nor built the Perfect Scale set. I did scratch one a while ago following the great how-to article in the March '95 FSM. I came out pretty good, as far as I am concerned.

Looks great man!!!

I’m just getting back into modeling, I have done it in a few years.

I just want to do Nam era American stuff since that’s what I remember as a kid growing up.

I was in the Cav 1/11th in the early 80’s. So I drove all the M113s, M577, ITV and so on. But Nam sticks in my head more for some reason.

I never did any Scratch or conversions so this will be new to me. Most of the stuff we used was Vietnam era except we had just gotten M1A1s and when I left Germany we were getting Bradley’s. Nam stuff is much more interesting…Gun Trucks and Jeeps. All kinds of armor add ons and extra 50 cals and M-60s.

Thanks guys, I think I’m going to order the conversion kit plus they have an M-105 trailer.
