I’m just curious as to everyone’s opinions. Would aftermarket accessories for Academy’s 1/32nd Scale Hornet justify their expense? I’m looking at Eduard’s photoetched detail sets and a Black Box cockpit but haved decided what to do.

If you havn’t read my profile,I might be able to help you out.I have the items in question and if you would like I can send you detailed pics of what your interested in. I have the late model F-18 cockpit by Black Box.I am not sure if it matters to you,but if you are going to try to be as accurate as possible you need to check the A/C Buo #'s to make sure your decals are of an aircraft w/ that cockpit. But anyway I have alot of the aftermarket stuff and it should complement the model VERY well. I hope I was of some help.Just drop me a line if you need more info.
Does anyone know if Academy is going to release a two seater version of this kit or if anybody is working on on conversion for the F/A-18D Night Attack Hornet? I’ve been wanting to build a large scale Marine F/A-18D for about seven years now.
I hear ya adrake! Scuttlebutt I heard was that it’ll be coming down the pipe soon. Don’t have a timeframe though.

According to Hannants website, the F/A-18D Hornet is coming soon. Boxnr. is already known. AC2218. I am looking forward to it too. Hopefully in the future Academy will also release the F/A-18-E/F Superhornet!!
Ever since seeing ‘Behind Enemy Lines’, I’m a sucker for the F/A-18F. There’s just something about two seat Hornets…
