Here is my rendition of the Academy F-16CJ Kit in 1:72 scale. Paints are all Tamiya, it’s built boxstock. I know it’s a bit shiny but since it wasn’t turning out perfect anyway I didn’t wanna head to the hobby shop for any flat base. It turned out nice either way though. The base is the bottom of a trophy that I picked up from the thrift store for a buck.
The particular aircraft modeled is supposed to be 79th Fighter Squadron of Shaw AFB south Carolina.

Why the white inside the afterburner? I don’t think I have seen that before!

What Geof said about the white. LOL I hadn’t done it before and gave it a shot this time around since there wasn’t much detail inside the can.
Thanks for the compliments on the display. I’m going to make a nameplate to go in the origina nameplate position. This base was originally for a childrens basketball trophy. Has a very slight gold and white marbling to it that doesn’t show up in the photo’s.
