]Just aquired the Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire I and the Hasegawa 1/48 Hurricane I kits. Need a bf-109E now…[^o)] I built the Hasegawa E-3 15 years ago. Want to try something different.

Academy’s 1/48 109’s are all reissues of the Hobbycraft kits. Externally they are nice, but they have some cockpit inaccuracies. I don’t feel they are worth the higher price markup under the Academy label, but if you can find one at a good price, it will build in to a nice 109.

Yes. I am thinking of the bf-109E-4/7. [H] I have some old Hasegawa photo etch in the spares box. Should do nicely! [:)]
I just built that kit for the Bob GB. It’s pretty simple and goes together well. Just watch the cockpit tub placement and you might have propblems with the rear stab braces. Otherwise it is a fine kit. Half the price of the Hasegawa family of 109s and $5-10 less than Tamiya’s.
