Hi FSM,
Here’s Academy’s 1/35 “Black Death” that I built it for group build on another site.
The kit’s built mostly OOB. I added seat cushions, seatbelts and buckles, wiring, a Milliput First Aid kit, a map box with a manual, and a map to the cockpit. Aside from some random wires, an oil filler on the tail, and some confetti in the MMS, the exterior airframe’s built OOB. The interior, rotor system, and weapons are painted with MM enamels while the exterior’s painted with MM acrylics (i.e. US Helo Drab). The kit’s decals were used, and the whole thing was weathered with Flory’s washes and pastels.
Anyway, let’s move on to the pix. I purposely over-exposed a few in order to make the weathering and paint fading a little more obvious.
You eagle-eyed modelers will notice that the position lights are missing from the stabilizers. I lost not one, but both, to the Hardwood Floor Monster. I’ll add them when I can find something to replace them with. Also, I’m not terribly happy with the .50 cal assembly. I just couldn’t get it to hang at the correct angle. Oh well, I can live with these minor issues.
Anyway, feel free to share your comments or critiques. I’m happy to hear what you have to say.
Thanks for lookin’!
-O
