Absolutely FRUSTRATED!!!!

I spent about 2 hrs earlier this evening looking for vanished kits! [:(!][:(!]Thats right poof they’re gone! [:0] I cant find them anywhere my garage is a mess[}:)] my storage room is a mess[}:)]…my work area is a mess[;)](thats not related to the search effort! LOL)…I’m missing about 25 sealed kits…GRRR where o where did they go! [?][?][?]Most are Tamiya WW2 aircraft with a few autos mixed in. I was going to list them on my site or put them on Ebay[8D]…but now I have to find them. Anyone else do anything similar before? I guess I better go check in the Velle’s trunk since thats where I locked up my Honda generator and forgot about it.[:p]
Geesh thankfully my heads attached if not I might leave it somewhere![xx(][xx(][xx(]

Here’s a idea . . . Write a note asking, “Where are my kits?” and drop it frrom the workbench. Perhaps you’ll get an answer from the “Other Side.”

[^][^][:D][:D][:p][:p]
Now thats an idea that might actually produce some results. I might just have to try it!
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
I know exactly how you feel. I’ve got a Word document detailing all of the unbuilt kits I’ve got
and for months the list didn’t match the reality. Lots of missing kits. Bugger.
I have since found the kits in a box in the garage, where I had already looked (about 15 times).
Was I frustrated? Maybe just a little?
Well, at least they’re not lost now………
Good luck on the search and I hope you find them.
Cheers

about 90% of my kits are boxed up together and in the loft. All boxes are labelled, but access to the loft is not the easiest thing and I very recently bought two kits I already had… Oh, well it’s not tragic, but I realised it might not be a bad idea to keep a list closer to hand… LOL

maybe the wife or parents, kids and the rest of the family know better…
i had received a big thank you from my kid cousin for the huge Lancaster bomber he had received for his birthday…
Strange thing WAZENTME…and my Lancaster is MIA. Seemed that my stock was the ideal gift shop…(if some of you recollect i had posted a grevious message about models dissapearing some months ago…lol)

I HAVE THEM!! And if you ever want to see them again, you’ll provide your credit card and social security number, as well as your address, family names, and number of unborn children to an undisclosed bank in Nigeria…LOL!!
Hope you find 'em!

Like the other fella said, sometimes your other half will give them away, whatever. They figure you have so many you will never notice. It’s a possibility.

James [:)]

If they think you’ll not notice they’re missing, they are obviously not modelers themselves. If Saint Anthony were a model builder, then he would truly sympathize with people who cannot find things. My brother took one of my kits thinking I would not notice and it happened to be the kit that I was going to start next. He was surprised that I asked if he had seen it and had to confess. to be honest, I may not have noticed as quickly if it was any other kit.[:I] As for the other dimension? I haven’t given it any full kits but I hope it puts all of the tools I have donated over the years to good use.

P.S. Forgive my ignorance, but, what does LoL or lol mean[?][:D]

Paul

lol = laughing out loud
lmao = laughing my &%$ off
rofl = rolling on floor laughing
IMHO = in my honest opinion
IIRC = if I recall correctly

There’s just a couple of the more commonly used on the net.

Thanks Robert and a belated congrats on your fifth star.

I can solve this one. Whenever one is looking for a long lost item this is the sure fire way to find it.

As you search there is always a place, be it drawer, cabinet, box, whatever, where you say to yourself, “Nah… I know it’s not in there.” That is where it is.

Works every time for me.

Found 2…today. Only 23 more to go and if memory serves me correctly those 23 are in a box somewhere!
Chris

This may sound really stupid, but when you find it, it’s always in the last place you look…oh duh.
Then why didn’t you look there first…?
Cheers

I FOUND THE BOX!!! I found it…Stopped by the shop today after dropping by the LHS on the way home and there it was…right next to one of my filing cabinets. Woooohooooo! Hello Evilbay goodbye kits…
Chris

Of course it’s going to be in the last pace you look. It would be pretty silly to keep looking after you have found it.
