I have noticed on the last few kit review videos that Aaron has a different coffee mug on the table by him. They might even show up in the “how to” videos (along with that Tamiya SU-100 on the shelf).
Is this some kind of inside joke, secret message or evil plan to take over the world???

Yes, but the coffee has accreted into a substance harder than diamonds with the pliability of titanium. It has fused molecularly with the ceramic and has reduced the amount of coffee that the cup can hold. I believe it’s down to a mere tablespoon now. All it needs is a burst of Gamma radiation and we’ll have a new life form on our hands.
