A6M2 Zero Cockpit

Just finished up the cockpit on my A6M2 Zero, wanted to post some shots. Sorry about the quality, it’s just a regular digital camera and I don’t have a good set up with lights. Let me know what you guys think. I still need to wash it, but as of now I’m very pleased with it for my first build. If anyone has any ideas please share them.

Thanks

For your FIRST build?[:O] That’s impressive! I know guys who’ve built for years and can’t finish a cockpit that well. The photos look fine, not everyone works for FSM[:D]. As far as a wash goes… it looks pretty clean to me[:P][(-D]

Happy modeling

Drew

Thanks Drew,

I learned a lot from all of you guys on this site so I wouldn’t have done that well without you guys. Thanks for the compliments. Hopefully the rest of the bird will go as well as the office did. Thanks again.

Very good start so far. Keep us posted on the progress

looks good! First build? that looks well beyond that, you’re on the way to some great work!!

Here’s a cockpit out of a real Zero, restored from the wrecks of 3 other zeros… looks like you’re spot on for colors and such!

Your first build?
Hey, that’s great! Looks good, and well done.
Keep up the good work and keep posting pics.

He said first build… but he forgot got to say this month[;)]

Great work for ANY build… keep it up.

Thanks guys…I think I’m going to run into some problems and seam issues. I was dry-fitting my fuselage and wings together last night and there is a nasty seam (about 1/8 of an inch) between the fuselage and the left wing. Not sure how this happened, but I put some putty on it last night so hopefully that will come close to remedying it. Also, the engine cowling doesn’t seem to fit nicely with the fuselage… not sure if that’s my fault too. I’ll post some pics later today. This is the Tamiya kit by the way.
