Hi all
I have just managed to buy a hardly used second hand A470 for a good price, but I have a question for any other A470 users.
The trigger on mine is quite loose. I’m sure it won’t affect performance but does anyone else have a loose trigger and is this normal?
Thanks
Trust me that AB doesn’t have enough performance to affect. No, no j/k. Many users here have had great success with the aztek line, but many more have found it to come through lacking. I am one of the latter. Anyway, mine had a trigger that was pretty tight. If it is very loose it might not be sitting properly. The A470 does not have an option to change trigger tension so I’m not sure what the problem might be.
I don’t think that a loose trigger is normal. I have had two A430’s and both had fairly tight tiggers. Is it a problem? Who knows? You could return it toe Testor’s for warranty replacement. When I returned my A430, they did not require a proof of purchase before replacing it. I’m not a fan of Aztek, but if you already have one, there’s no reason to immediately scrap it.
I had a similiar problem, got it replaced under warranty - no problems, just had to wait a week or so.
I have a 430 and it has no lose trigger. A great AB. People either love them or hate them as you can see. I love mine.
“Loose” is a subjective term. I have a 470 and the trigger is not as stiff as other airbrushes I’ve felt, but I wouldn’t call it loose. As long as the there is significant tension on the trigger when it’s pulled back and it moves completely to the forward position when released, it should be fine. The only advice I have is for you to test it and see how it works.
