A-wing MPC/Ertl, 1/48

Hi to all.

Since long time without posting here, I introduce to you one of my last finished models, an MPC/Ertl A-wing form Star Wars, I suspect 1/48th scale.

I made some improvements in the pilot, based on the movie captures. Added a plastic rectangle for the chest equipment and a hose made from wire filament.

I applied primer direct from the can, later a airbrushed a heavy preshading with black and finally applied fine layers of “eggshell” acrylic from Testors. Brick red paint was an artistic inks mix of red, black and yellow.

Wow, that’s beautiful!!!

Love the pre-shading. The AMT kits weren’t the best but it’s amazing what you can do with time and skill- great work!!!
