G’day Folk’s,
Based on the Tamiya 48 Mk VIf I have modified mine into a Mark IVf as flown by the RAAF as A19-87 coded ‘R’ for Roger, based opon a poor wartime Black and White aerial photo and a mixture of both imagination and artistic licience, this is the progress of my subject to date. Using the old AeroMaster ‘Whispering Death’ part II decal sheet for the for the cammo patern, the decals will be a mixture of both Tasman Faded and Semi Faded RAAF roundals and part of the AeroMaster decals to be applied to the finished model.

The poor watime photo of my model subject.

Two views of the NM Finish created with Humbroll # 11 and the doped primer tailplanes

Three views of the base cam using Humbrol enamels # 29 for darlk earth and the Humbrol authentic US Green 42, [Which even though is almost a black green], this replicated the Foliage Green used by the RAAF on their aircraft.
When the decals are applied to this model the entire paint scheme will be rubbed back exposing the base N.M. The last 2 pix are taken without the flash on the camera, so the dark earth looks a sand colour.
