The sight of that old Merlin engine lying there rusted out and caked in sand is a sad sight. I don’t think they will be restoring this one. From the damage, maybe the pilot got out. Let’s hope so anyways. Now I have to do a spitfire…

the pilot is dead during the crash .

At least he’s not listed as missing anymore. Maybe what family he might have left can get some closure.
