For the past few days-i have been taking a break from modelling for the wrong reasons. I was addicted to a browser based computer game-modernconquest. It is about taking over the world. Unfortunately, i have been banned until tuesday [:p] for ‘cheating’[}:)] although i call it modifying the system.[:0] So, it gives me time to do important things like finishing my hybrid 251, and starting my 109A6 paladin that i will give to a teacher of mine. In fact, i will go work on it now. And in the future, i will remember the important things in life: plastic, styrene, resin, pe, and that testors glue in the orange tube that makes you feel happy when ever you use it(inadvertantly)
How dare you put circuitry and motherboards over plastic cement and styrene. Don’t you know that models will be around forever, but computers are just a passing trend?
Now go to the worktable and scratchbuild a Kubelwagon!
Cheers!
Mike
Well that is a relief. Sometimes the glue tends to fog up ones mind. Try not inhaling so deeply next time. [;)]
Serves you right for cheating on your hobby with another hobby
sorry guys [X-)] guess they will tie me up to be shot…dang screwed that one up bad. But if you try that game(don’t) you will become addicted if you can get the learning curve down.
beav, I completely understand. I have a serious addiction to Call of Duty and Doom 3.
Call of Duty Rocks!!![8D][}:)][:O][;)]
Im completely addicted to pc games right now. Its been a week since I touched any kits. I am in an online gaming team tho so I kinda have to be playing a lot lol. Call of Duty is a great game , never really played it online tho , as Im always playing Ghost Recon. I need a new kit to get me back into modelling again (thats a good enough excuse for me to buy stuff)
why did you cheat on a computer game?
I guess it wasn’t something fun that you enjoyed in your spare time and you felt that it gave you some kind of online identity. Congrats.
Call of Duty is a great game, but “Far Cry” for the PC is even more addicting. Awesome graphics.
Call of Duty is AMAZING.
Doom 3 is really good, but I’m waiting for my new video card to play it properly. Anyone tried HL-2 yet?
I haven’t played any video game yet necause i’ve been grounded for the past year for getting a few C+'s on my report card, but it’s gotten me into modeling and now video games has not a lot of space in my schedule. But one of my all time favorites is Blitzkrieg,Close Combat, and Command and Conquer Generals.
One of my most favorite PC games is Battlefield 1945. This game rocks. You can do ANYTHING. You can play as the Axis or the Allies and you can jump into any vehicle on the field. (This includes enemy tanks and planes!) Tigers, Stugs, Wespe’s, Kublewagons, Messerschmitts, Shermans, jeeps, Priests, Stuarts… you get the picture.
I get sucked in for hours at a time if the wife didn’t pull me away.
Okieboy
LoL
Addicting arn’t they.
My other hobbie is computer games.
I have original programs dating back to the mid 80’s.
I have been on 6 private Beta test teams.
Last year Electronic Arts flew me to San Fransisco for 2 days all expenses paid to review an online game they were considering.
2 days of free food ,booze and video games in a 5 star hotel.
on the other hand…
Badger hasn’t sent me any free equipment yet…nor has Tamiya or Hosigawa asked me my opinions on thier kits yet.
And wheres my free subscription to FSM??? hmmm?
Come-on guys, get on the wagon…if you want to be my favorite hobbie you have to pony up the freebies
Call of Dutys too easy and the multiplayers not very good
im waiting for Opp flashpoint 2
is it just me or does testors glue smell like bananas?
I’m afraid it’s you, Jason. You need to try to get out more.
I liked parts of COD, but I hate, really really hate, the secret agent behind the lines stuff. It absolutely kills the immersion. I’m looking forward to Brothers In Arms.
i love call of duty!!!
I got back into modelling because my wife left me.
Actually my name is Kris [:p]
