Hi everyone,
It’s been ages since I’ve been back to the forum. Sadly I see a few regulars I remember have passed (Toshi and Jeff Head.) I am an aircraft modeler mainly but also enjoy armor and science fiction / monster models. Now that I’m retired I can spend time on my hobbies. It’s good to be back!

The new forum software is excellent, but I agree that things aren’t the same without some of the old guard. Particularly Toshi was such a presence. I think about him quite a lot, actually.
Looking forward to seeing your next build! Feel free to post up any you’ve been working on in the meanwhile, too.

Welcome back. I didn’t know Jeff but Toshi was a great guy - building models with his grandson. Sad to see him pass.

It’s great to see you back here again Douglas and there are a good number of us who are returning from back in the day.
I never knew Jeff either but as John said, I most certainly had plenty of interactions with Toshi and they were always upbeat and positive. Super guy and miss him greatly.

Thanks Mark! Last year I picked up all the Atlantis reissues of the Aurora monster kits.
@roger_wilco Fantastic! Looking forward to seeing your builds on those. I’m working on Phantom of the Opera right now, and have Wolfman, The Mummy and Jekyll/Hyde in my stash. Just ordered two Hunchbacks. A re-release of the original and also a Charles Laughton version. Such fun!

Good to see you back Douglas. With the revamp of the forum quite a few of us are returning.
Thank you. The new format does appear to be more user friendly.
The Pegasus War of the Worlds 1/8 Martian I built in 2024. It was for a group build on Facebook. Did my own thing for a base instead of uding the stock one.
That is one fine looking alien! I have the Jeff Wayne War of the Worlds album.
