A quick question for Phantom Phanatics

Is the 1/48 Hasegawa F-4C kit out of production? I can’t find it at Spruebros’ or GreatModels’ websites, and only one turned up on ebay…a little more expensive than I wanted. So, me thinks it’s a rare kit now…
Any other options out there for building a 1/48 F-4C??

If you’re a bit patient, you can watch Revell-Monogram and Revell Germany these days. Revell Germany reissued Hasegawa’s 1/48 British Phantom kit and Revell-Monogram recently reissued Hasegawa’s 1/48 hard wing F-4E as part of their Pro Modeler line. Other reissues of Hasegawa Phantom kits may be in the works.

If you’re not patient, I believe Monogram had a 1/48 F-4C/D kit out in the mid 80s. I built their 1/48 F-4B from about the same time frame and recall it to be an enjoyable build.

It may prove easier to find on second hand markets than the Hasegawa kit and will certainly be cheaper.

If you don’t mind raised panel lines or scribing lines in, and you don’t mind spending for some aftermarket stuff, you should be able to get something good out of the old Monogram kit.

I was thinking the HAsegawa F4C also had raised panel lines, but I could be wrong. I looked at it at Squadron about a year ago I think, so a few more might pop up on Ebay

The F-4C has raised panel lines. If you are looking for one I have one that I am selling at $25.00 plus the shipping. Let me know by e-mail.
