A quick question about A.M.P.S.

I was thinking about entering this April. WHen i went to the website and checked out the contest. My question was this. They said the theme was Recce Vechicals. Does this mean that you cannot enter any other kind of vechical? I will email them later but this was faster since i was at work the rest of the night.

Recce Vehicles is just the “theme” for this year. Each year has a specific theme, such as Desert Warfare or Towed Artillery, to give the show a bit of focus. You can pretty much enter anything so long as it has something to do with “modern” armored warfare, generally considered from the 1900s to today. In other words, you can’t necessarily enter a war elephant from the Phoenician invasion of Rome to be judged, but quite possibly for display; email them with any questions. There is a Science Fiction/Fantasy Machines category (one of my personal favorites), where there’s always some excellently rendered ground-pounder vehicles from the worlds of Maschinen Krieger, Mobile Suit Gundam, WarHammer40K, Star Wars, and many others . b. AMPS members have felt in the past that good modeling is good modeling, and should be evaluated as such. Therefore, scale is not a factor in these categories. If a large number of entries of a specific scale are present, the categories may be administratively divided up for display and judging purposes as the Chief Judge sees fit. Such separation is purely for display and has no bearing or effect on judging or scoring of any model.
