Hi everyone , I just popped over from the Helicopter Forum section to ask a question about Testors 1/48 OV-10A Bronco . I just received some nice decals from Fireball Modelworks for the U.S.Navy VAL-4 Black Ponies . With the pic I posted above , It shows the Bronco carrying Zuni rocket pods . I was wondering if anyone knew of an aftermarket set of Zuni pods that are available . Or perhaps another aircraft kit I could buy which has Zuni rocket pods included in the kit I could use . I’ll also have to put some thought into a second cockpit tub and rear seat as well . I greatly appreciate any assistance with my inquiry . Kind regards John .
I believe Hasegawa has one in their weapons sets. As for the cockpit, Paragon used to make a detail set. I don’t know if it is still available or not.
Paragon makes a whole conversion set for the OV-10, which is nice because the kit goes back to Hawk 1967 molds and is of the prototype. You get new wings and a lot of other stuff like the whole cockpit. The center section span was shorter on the prototype than the production airplanes so the conversion set is most of the finished model. The resin parts are very well cast, and there is also a bunch of PE. It can be a struggle to find, I think I got mine from Hannants, but it might have been Meteor which used to stock Paragon stuff.
Missing Link products available thru Roll Models makes an OV-10 cockpit set. !/48 Zunis can be had from a Hasegawa weapons set or Hobbycrafts A-4C (USN Mig killer) kit.
