Thanks guys. Actually, it takes packages only about 1 week to make it here from the states. The Army mail system is pretty efficient. Ordering and having it sent here is fine too.
Thanks for the thoughts of all our servicemen and women, esp. on July 4th.
Your plea came at the perfect time! Due to time and space issues, I am being forced to clear out some of my stash. On the way to you are 15 or so kits, mostly modern, 1/35 and 1/72. My last stash clearout went to Afghanistan last year, so I guess this time it’s Baghdad! Hope all the kits find good homes! Stay safe!
HeavyArty, as we say in the armor world your care package is “on the way”!. I put some modern stuff as well as an M41 from my stash, not quite modern but not WWII. I trust you and other members of the club will get some enjoyment and a little break from the mission. Stay focused and keep your head on a swivel.
I met with a friend of mine today and and told him what your doing for our troop’s and he said he wants in on this also! I going to check tommorow with a group of modelors that we meet with and see if they want in also! [tup]
As a former member of 1/15th Infantry stationed in far away places I just gotta echo the message that models are both welcomed and appreciated. I’m sending a few M1’s and Bradleys, and T-55s. I’m not certain about why people want to model the vehicles they see everyday, but having built several M113s after leaving the army I guess I get it. Good luck, happy modeling and god bless.
Oh I forgot to mention that I forgive you Major for being a gun-bunny, you’re doing great work and not everyone can be a grunt. God bless and keep you and all you command.
