Hi,Well, I,m sure you have heard of many things to keep order on the workbench.Here,s one that comes from the office supply store or department near you. I was given this item, but I have found them on my own.This is put out by LOEW-CORNELL and it,s called a multi-bin. This thing has two levels. the top level has holes in it.There are 18 in the outer ring,18 in the inner ring and 12 in the central ring.It has a matching bottom area with a solid bottom with matching wells.You can take your EVERGREEN and put about twenty pieces in each well depending on the size of the strip you are going to use!! I use mine for this and for paint brushes!! Check it out at your local office supply or WAL-MART office supply department. I use one of those for my brushes. Got it at Dick Blick for about $6 or so. Works great, and I can see how it would be good for styrene strips or brass rods and such.
I use plastic containers with snap close lids. For longer pieces I stand them up in a deep plastic beer stein which has some weight added to the base (resin and lead shot). One contains styrene another contains metal tubing, angles, rods, wire and flat stock.
You can see the beer steins behind the lamp on my bench…their from some steak house in the Dallas area LOL
