OK it’s barely progress at all. But the point is…it is AIRPLANE progress[:D] And since it’s the Eduard dual combo I figured I may as well do 'em both.

Very nice looking Marc! I’ve built the AM boxing of that kit- very nicely detailed. Fits pretty well with patience… nothing too serious. What markings will you do them in?
Wow Marc, you are a glutton for punishment. Are you planning a zwilling version? Now that would be soooo cool. Arnt you in about a squillion GB’s as well?
And they say im the one with all the elves LOL.
…Guy
Actually a zwilling would be pretty cool. I didn’t think of that. If I can find the decals Frank sent my ages ago I am going to do one as Gene Wahl’s “Wahl Eye” and the other as an umpires bird form manuvers that took place in the Carolinas. Jon these kits are great this will be 3 & 4 of the Eduard 'Cobras I’ve done.
Marc- Great to see you 'round here again! Yum…twins… VERY nice! Hope you can find those decals. Speaking of Gene, have you heard from him lately? I got a letter last fall, and sent one back along with a Christmas card but never heard from him.
Frank, no I haven’t but to be honest it’s been awhile since I have sent anything to him. But I would have expected to hear from his daughter if something has happened to him.
I think I’m seeing double.[X-)]Great work on the pits Marc
Do’um up, Marc. I just about bought one of the AM releases today at Hobby Lobby. They have a 30% off sale on all plastic kits right now.
Looking forward to watching them come together, and…
Glad to see you back home in the WINGED world!
Yes… now this is what I wanted to see. Not one, but Two wingy things…keep us posted.
Marc- PM inbound. [;)]
After seeing how the last two turned out, I can’t wait to see these ones! Looking forward to seeing some progress pics [:D]
You’ve turned back to the light!!!
Its about time you took a break from building targets. I’ve built one of these beauts too and can’t remember having more fun with a kit. I can’t wait to see more progress on yours.
Nice start Marc. Keep us posted.
Regards, Rick
Thanks fellas…more progress soon.
This is the scheme for one of them…

Marc, I like the UMP paint scheme, looking forward to watching this one. I have the AM kit of this, want to do Andersons “Old Crow” he flew in CA.
Finally some bench time. All this holiday stuff is running me ragged.
Some how as this kit got older, the door fit better so I am keeping them closed but one with and open window. After painting the inside, the mask was removed and used as the template for the rolled down window. Holes are drilled in prep of filing out the opening and then new window glued in place.

The cockpits/fuselage are ready to go. For some reason as the doors fit better, the trailing edges got even thicker. They scale up to about 2 3/4" in places. Lots of scraping to come.

The rooled down window is a nice touch. I’ll have to remember that one.
Excellent work. I love this plane, one of the best lookers of WWII.
Excellent stuff Marc. Dont you feel that glow that you can only get from building planes, coarsing back through you?
I read somewhere that in the manual for the P-39 it suggested cracking open the window when about to fire the whopping nose cannon, as the aircraft was likely to fill with cordite smoke. You crazy Americans. [:D]

Dang, MArc, all that time building targets hasn’t had a negative effect on your airplane building! I like the idea of building the same kit simultaneously. These are on pace to be stellar.
Great work on the cracked, window!
