Has been a whiule since my last post but here I am again, with a couple of Academy’s Bf109 G-6 both 1/48 and scheme from JG300.
Besides a little scartch in the cockpit and replace the guns, I really enjoyed builind those birds.
Decals came from EagleCal.

Those "end of war"Bf-109’s have the most interesting scheme’s. Was the bare metal 109 used operationally? I think I have seen it on colour photo’s made by allied troups.

What I read about this bird is that the pain was removed (sanded) to save some weight and give it some extra speed, and was assigned as a Moskito Chaser. At least have some kill marks on the tail, it made me wonder if one of those marks was actually the “untouchable” moskito. Anyways, the first time I saw this scheme I just wanted to build one like this!
The NMF is an interesting look on a 109. Great work!
VonA both builds look excellent, never have seen a NMF 109 (other than early varients), so that was based on an actual crate? How did the Academy kit build, I have their K version which I assume is based on the same molding? Once again, excellent work!

Reasoned.- the Academy kits fits quite well! I just saw a couple of visible mistakes in the kit, one was the oli cooler, just bellow the nose, it is closed in the back of it… so if you see pictures you’ll notice that even in closed position there’s a squared shape hole in the back, so I drilled out, the second was the cockpit, it is quite simple so I added some scratch like oxigen hose, wires and some other stuff. Leaving that aside for the price you get on this Academy 109s, they are great kits. You can build them OOB and get a great model finished, but I just wanted a little more detail on it. I didn’t tested the kit decals though, as I already have decals for this 2 birds I builded. However they looks well, in register and not so thick.
