I just completed this little vignette, Michael Roberts 54mm kit, A Moment in Time based on a Robert Griffing painting.
I added feathers from some fly fishing supplies, the roach on the standing guy is Woodland Scenic grass which was painted and splayed out. The beaded hair decoration on the crouching figure is more of the same grass tied off and saturated with white glue before being painted. The clock faces were found online in a mantle clocsk site, printed and applied with white glue. The lantern and pitcher are old Historex parts. The water is Liquitex 2 part epoxy. The ground cover, moss, grass and shrubs are all Woodland Scenics. The figures are painted in mostly acrylics.
The faces were painted and highlighted in flesh tones before very thinned applications of red and black Vallejo Acrylics were applied.

Very nicely done. Interesting subject. Thanks for sharing.

This is very ecceptional work AJ,I specialy like the lay of the land and the groundcover youve created, and the painting, wow, very very nice! You make me wish I cared more about my figures than I do but I just cant get into them little guys, not like doing a vehicle anyways! Stunning work, would love to see some of your wwII stuff posted!
I can’t take any credit for that. That was partof the kit, an amazing single piece of resin with multiple undercuts with detailing molded in. The scuptor, Alan Ball did a superb job of that. The tree stumps are molded in as are all the rocks. I added “vegetation,” paint and Liquitex resin water.
Nevertheless a stunning piece of workmanship on your part AJ, I love it!
Thanks, SASD, coming form a dio specialist as yourself, whom I’ve critiqued, it means a lot.
