Once I spent 3 weeks building a Ranger Splash PU for my ex for Christmas, just because she said she really liked them. Wired engine, perfect paint, display case, even made a personalized licence plate w/ her name. Xmas comes, she opens it, looks at it for about 3 seconds and says, “oh … thanks” and sets it aside.
You’re an exception, Sheila.

I know 3 years is quite something already in the US nowadays. Me and my wife have been together for 5 years now. We had our share of problems but we always find a way to work it out. I treat our marriage like I treat my models. I work really hard to get it right and when it is done, I always find something that could be still done to improve it. So, I keep working on it.
Use super glue to keep it together “for better or for worse”. …
My 30th is coming up on the 24th but some how I don’t think a models going to do it for her. Works for me though… Hope you enjoy the build and it turns out better then you expected.

Her favorite passtime is puzzles. Let’s see, hundreds of small pieces that all look alike, putting it together with no instructions, Go figure…
Christmas b4 last I gave my wife a model of the “Monkeemobile”. She LOVED it. She didn’t build it, I did. But she is such a fan of that “group” that I knew she would like it.
[:D]I have a dear friend who lokes models. It was my birthday and she asked what I would like. I gave her a kit of Revell’s 1:32 Panavia Tornado and asked her to build it for me as my present.[;)] She was ecstatic and she did a better job than I could have done.[bow] I wasn’t into modern jets then. I gave my pastor a model of his dream vehicle since I couldn’t get him the real thing. I had to kitbash (the operative word being BASH since I needed four kits to complete it after my mess ups) a Ford F-350 four door with duallies. He loved it. Perhaps you married types could try something like that.[:-^] If it doesn’t work, I do mariage counseling.[:D][:D][:D]
Thanks everyone, sure made shopping for her alot easier. No strange shops or anything like that. Maybe for our 50th we could do a 1/16 Tiger, be something to look forward to.
