I’ve always wanted to drive on the left side of the road.
Edit: I mean; legally.

In which case, i would suggest avoiding Milton Keynes.
Actually, you had them before we did. In 1907 one of the first in the US was designed by John McLaren. The first British one was in Letchworth Garden City 2 years later.
So don’t blame us. [:D]
You can have the bloody lot. My xmas pressie just for you.

And a Merry Xmas to you all from Merry old England.

Hahahaha! And like TempestJohny above, I’m pretty much in agreement with the whole thing.
Except I’m rather aggrivated that I have to register if I want to carry my vegetabe peeler.
Merry Christmas to all. [G]
Thank you for the kind words Bish…It has been a pleasure meeting A LOT of great people in our forum. You, Stikpusher, RudyonWheels, ModelCrazy…just to name a few. I look forward to meeting as many as possible.
Jeremiah Johnson did it quite easily from Hatchet Jack’s frozen mitts. A nice .50 cal Hawken gun. A right proper hunting rifle.
Hey, doog,
kin you skin 'griz? [^o)]
To quote the bug from Men in Black: “Your proposal is acceptable.”
All levity aside, there actually was a scene in the first seven minutes of the 1984 movie “Red Dawn” , supposedly in Colorado , which showed a bumper sticker displaying the 1980s slogan.
The camera then pans down to show one of the invading Russian paratroopers taking a Colt 1911A1 style pistol from a dead man’s hand.
Per my recollection, despite that initial scene, the movie script emphasized what could be accomplished with team work.
Perhaps the reason why the main charcters were football jocks.
Bish -
Funny guy. However let’s clear a few things first.
Soccer is not football in the US.
Baseball is our national pastime. Spring til October season. Cricket? Pfffft…
Basketball is a sport that last from October until June. College basketball has March Madness.
Hockey season October til June.
BBQs and cook outs are mandatory weather permitting.
Fishing and hunting seasons rock here in the USA.
More to add soon…
LOL!
LOL! As a proud subj…I mean citizen of the state of Wisconsinshire, anyone who tries to take away our Green Bay Packer football will get into a scrap that would make the War for Independence look like a schoolyard slap fight!
Merry Christmas to all and I hope everyone here has a VERY Happy New Year!!!
Best wishes to our friends across the pond and all over the world,
Eric
But you all have such…bad teeth!
Aw yes, but thats because we prefer not to blind people when we smile and pour bleach on our teeth [:D]
LOL !
Odd that it would get around to bad teeth.
A quote from “THE JOURNAL OF NICHOLAS CRESSWELL” :
"When one recollects the high standard of dental hygiene in America to-day it is surprising to learn that " to counterbalance this great perfection (their goad figures) they (the American women) have very bad teeth
—since they eat " so much hot bread." [^o)]
Of course, that was a few years ago around the time His Majesty King George III lost the colonies …[whstl]
I did come across an artical last nigth after GM posted that, as this idea that the Brits have bad teeth is a new one on me. According to a WHO report, the Brits have pretty good teeth, better than many nations including the US, and more of us go to the dentist. I think the idea we have bad teeth is a bit like the idea Stephan Hawkins would die if he had lived under the NHS. A bit of a scare story by those who don’t like the idea of a universal helth care system.
Nothing wrong with the idea of Universal Health Care so long as it is designed and managed by competent and honest people.
Looking forward to HRH ERII’s people setting up shop around here…[whstl]
Unfortunatly, the words competant and honets don’t really belong in the same sentance as the word goverment. That being said, i have always had great service from the NHS. It may not be perfect, but i certainly prefer it to the alternative.
Bish,
If you have had great service, then I definitely look forward to the arrival of Her Majesty’s representatives.[;)]
