Seems like theres a mess of Messerschmitts on the board so I thought why stop as it`s just getting going.
This is the Hasegawa 1:48 original with the Verlinden kit that I bought on Ebay for a tenner. A real bargain. Just noticed that I missed the exhausts and smoke stain. Can`t decide on aerials, they have to be superfine to be in scale and are generally a pain to glue neatly to the tail and mast. Also when there there (is that right?) I usually put my hand through them. The figures are converted Bandai German tank crews and the diorama bits from evergreen plastic and scrap.
This is the Tamiya E-3. Its built out of the box with the Citroen and Preiser figures. Also has my first attempts at scratching lifebelts and flying helmets
And this the same in Swiss Air Force colours that is still on the workbench. I have a selection of sheep painted and ready to go on and I am working on the ground crewman. The nose has been modified as to gun bulges and a reworked stick in the pit.
There all on 9inch square bases the size decided by the fact that I have 4ft 6in shelves, and the groundwork is made of sand and crushed cat litter painted to suit.
I look forward to your comments and lets be a little more critical than just nice paint job etc.
From one grandpa to another Thanx Much and as the bishop said to the actress “youv`e just made an old man very happy.” Still not totally there yet but aleast there viewable.
Those look well done. Pat yourself n the back as you deserve it. I especially like the Swiss 109. Something about the red and white that sets it apart from the rest. Good work.
They all look great to me, Gary. The fading and weathering you did are superb. I also like how you set the dioramas up. And sorry, but they all have nice paint jobs![:D]
Nice Job. I love the camo on the first E-4 I always wanted to have a go at that scheme. How hard was it? I agree with you on the antenna wire. As a general rule I wonder what the life expectancy of an antenne wire on a scale model is. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Souls, Not as easy as I thought, tried to airbrush but the wings and tailplanes kept getting in the way. Next time will do the camo` then add the bits. Ended up painting the RLM70 stripes and 02 blobs in enamel over the acrylic 65. Used a tatty old 00 brush to paint with and then went over with a brush dampened withy white spirit to try to soften the edges. Nearly worked but we live and learn.
As I`m in messer mode here some pics of the Dragon 262 Mistel that I get out and add bits as the mood takes me.
