A little Nashorn for the 1000 wheel GB......awwww

Evening all.

Just finished my first entrant for the 1000 wheel GB, Revell 1/72 SdKfz 164 Hashorn, and what a nice kit it is, really enjoyed the build. There is just the right amount of detail, 30 parts alone for the gun, and a mixture of indy links and track lengths, the indy’s being for the idler and drive wheels, my apologies for the lack of sag!! All painting was done by hand using Vallejo paints and Mig pigments for the weathering.

When I was doing some research I came across a photo of “Tiger”, a Nashorn from s.Pz.Jg.Abt. 519, I used this as a basis for my colour scheme. The decal sheet came with 4 names “Panther”,“Lowe”,“Jaguar” and “Puma”, are these from the same unit as “Tiger”

Hope I don’t get into trouble using the first picture[:-^] Thanks for looking.

Mark

WOW, that’s beautiful, Mark! As a proud father of a recent Hornisse (early Nashorn), I can say that you did this one proud! I like the distressed finish! The suspension looks great too! Nice weathering!

Revell’s kits are nice, but not as nice as DML’s nice 1/72 line–but they have it all over DML when it comes to their tracks! The DML’s 1/72 line tracks [censored]! I’ve thought of using the DML kit pieces, but using Revell tracks for many of my 1/72 kits.

Nice job! [:D]
