Next up is a Platz 1/144 190D-9.

Wow. Can’t wait to see the WIP and the finished build. Sooo small!!!

How in the heck can you see to assemble such a SMALL kit?, I have a hard time with 1/48th scale part’s sometimes even with magnafiers[:O]
" LITTLE" is the word
Cool, can’t wait to see more of it.
Bud
Nice start on the wee little Dora.
Regards, Rick
Marc Separate cowl flaps?
You really are sick!
Looking good though.
How does the kit compare to the Trump’ 1/24 kit parts count wise?[;)]
Karl
Hey guy,
What ever you do don’t sneeze![:D] You would feed an entire build to the Carpet Monster!
Nice job Marc
My you have big fingers! You’re gonna need therapy after this one Marc. Seriously, it looks great.
Jerry
You got more guts than I do Marc cant wait to see how you detail the office[:D]
Thanks guys for the “kind”[%-)] words and for realizing it not nice to make fun of crazy people.[:-^]
I scanned a 1/72 190A-8 PE set and will print it on a clear shipping label (that is a test print for size) and stick it to some sheet plastic. The belts will go right on the seat. I thnk I will pass on the rudder pedals.[;)]
The carpet monter is nipping at my heals… it is very excited for some reason.[:D]

wing_nut: you should seek professional help while there’s still time…your AMS is in a very advanced stage!
Haha. To be honest, I’m envious of your ability to work with such small parts. My eyesight is fine, but God gave me mittens instead of hands.
Dang! Now my 1/72 Airfix Dora isn’t going to be the smallest D-9 here! [;)]
Knowing how difficult some things are to work with in 1/72, doing the same thing (and MORE) in 1/144 is simply commendable. I’m very interested in how this “small” project of yours is going to turn out.
Nice job!
OK mucker… I’ll bite… What’s AMS?
Mike, after seeing some of the stuff you build I just figured we were at oposite ends of the spectrum[:D]
AMS Advanced Modeler’s Syndrome
The 190 is about as long as the engine nacelle of the B52… see the 144th scale B52 thread.
Looks like I cant complain about the B-52 [(-D]
Wing_nut…I cant wait to see this 190 finished…you’ve got guts. [:D]
The pit is done… IP installed as well as the side consoles and belts on the seat nad the fuselage buttoned up.

Now to work on the big tail conversion. This will be #3 in the series of “Gelbe 6” in all scales.
You are definately crazy Marc… I have a few 1/144 Jets that I wanted to do, but the size put me off… So those guys must be really really small… This, I will be watching with interest!
Chris
What can I say? I’m a man of mystery… [}:)]
Even though I tend to scoff at the commonality of your typical P-51, P-47, and (in this case) Fw 190, they are sometimes very useful when comparing them to the “less than mainstream” kits I enjoy. Nothing better than having a bunch of stuff you can’t identify, and smack in the middle is something instantly identifiable. Sort of a “reality check”.
It’s kind of interesting to actually have reference material for a build for a change. Most of the stuff I do I’m working off a single 3x5 grainy photo and nothing else! [:D] It’s good to mix it up once and while. Keeps it interesting.
OK, I’ll stop talking now. [(-D] Again, very nice work. Ditto to everything else said here. Keep it up!
Well that’s a relief. I thought I had the more serious Advanced Modeler’s Psychosis. If it it’s just a syndrome, I can beat that… I hope.
(Nurse… some water please…)
