I bought a Hasegawa 1/48 F4U-4 Corsair off e-Bay (kit JT-25), and it arrived today. I was working on my F-14 for the GB going on, and decided to open up the package.
Inside the box is a set of resin wheels, with the tires “weighted” for realism.
The item description mentioned nothing about any AM parts…how pleasant!
Hmmm…I’m waiting for a Revell 1/48 F-15E, maybe it’ll have a Black Box (or Aires) cockpit set.
Hiya MACooke,
I also have that kit. Ya know, I am not to sure why they included them… It might have been a limited quanity or it may have been only avalible in Japan but the retail folks got ahold of a few… Got getting old stinks…[:(][:p][;)]

I can’t comment about your particular kit, but when it comes to Ebay, I’d count your blessings. I bought an “as is” Dan Gurney Eagle a while back that came with only two tires. Then again, the racing bike I bought last year had $7 and change in the little seat bag (which was more than the Eagle car cost me). Go figure.
Does that mean that I’ll be in modelling “H-E-double-toothpicks” for losing my patience and temper, and smashing a model a long time ago? I did my penance, bought another one and finished it. (That sure beat the “H-E-L-L” out of going to confession and saying 10 “Hail Marys”.)
well I just got a set of F-105F/G decals from ebay and when I got it in today I had not 1 but 2 sheets of the same F-105F/G decals now thats sweet now I can decal 6 F-105’s [:D]
Hiya MACooke,
The Corsair that came with the resin tires, on the box top, did it say “Initial Release”?
My Corsair as well as the Nate(I think) has “Initial Release” on there box tops…
Only a few kits I have seen had the resin tires as a bonus… Go figure
