Looks okay to me. But you will need to paint shortly after applying the putty. If left overnight it will tend to sag.
Thank you, will do as soon as i get released from the ER.
Sorry to hear you are in the ER. I like the AK painting putty because it is easy to apply and it comes off cleanly and without lifting detail parts with it (at least in my experience so far). But my first time using it I applied it and then decided to paint the next day. When I sat down to do so the next day, the putty had sagged on the vertical services and dragged some of the putty on the horizontal surface with it. So off it all came and then had to reapply. So give yourself enough time to putty and paint in a single session. Get well and keep well!
This has been my experience as well. In just over a few minutes, gravity will have acted and the putty will have sagged, making painting smooth camo lines a very difficult task with this product.
On the other hand, it sticks very well to the surface, even if it’s vertical : the mass will drop, but wherever it’s attached will stay attached, and it’s easy enough to clean residues : just gently tap / dab another bit of putty and it will grab the left overs.
As others have said, and to add more dramatic flair, if you waited long enough to take some pictures, it’s already too late for a smooth lines camo in my experience
if you’re after sharp, it’s okay.
