A happy-camper weekend..

Well, I didn’t get to build anything nice this weekend, but I did manage to get to that show. I saw some trully beautiful models and dioramas, some of which were featured in various magazines I’ve read in the last several months, so it was quite astounding to see them in real life. Let me tell you, whole new perspective. The models that were on display were nothing short of spectacular, and left me quite eager to build build build…
My personal highlight was the vendor room, where I scored some very good deals:
Tamiya Modern US accessory set for $8 (all prices Canadian dollars),
Dragon sd.kfz.141/3 Flampanzer III (f-1) $20
Revell/Italeri Katyusha Rocket Launcher with figs and field gear $10
Revell Germany Leopard 1 a1a1-a1a4 $10
Italeri M-110 A2 (203mm) Heavy self propelled gun. $10
All in all, a very good bargain. All kits are in 1/35 scale, and are in perfect condition, so it was quite a successful little hunt! Suffice to say, I was thrilled.
If anyone knows anything about any of these kits, please feel free to comment/suggest/paste references. I’m a little worried about the dragon indie link tracks.
Anything interesting happen to anyone else on the weekend?

…found out my tv needs repairing…

Went to a local show - Cookeville TN - got 3rd place in softskins for my 2 1/2 ton truck. Found a DML M4A4 for $25 [:D] Won a Dremel 9.5 v cordless variable speed tool in the door prize drawing. [:D]

Looks like a couple of you guys scored some kits.

Well, I got a few kits worked on, and also managed to refurbish a number of Israeli tanks in preparation for their being published on an IDF modeling Website. That made me happy![:D][:D][:D]

Then there was all the cleanup I did at home, the three loads of laundry, cooking and shopping with the wife. [xx(] She’s on vacation now so I might not get as much building done this week as I thought, especially since I have to do alot for her while her torn tendon heals. [V]

GL with the wifey
Whenever your tanks do end up online, make sure that you post a link!!

With the help from my wife, I managed to get the BARV finished.

I was able to work on it from 8:30 am Saturday to 12:30 am Sunday uninterupted.

My hats off to the Lady of the house!!
