A Frustrated Armour Model Builder in Russia?

I noted the photo in an advert on the FSM forum web page:

For some reason, those colours look suspiciously similar to WWII German armour colours …[^o)]

I always wondered what happened to German paint stocks when the Soviets overran the factories…good thing the Germans abandoned Zimmerit before the war ended…[whstl]

Thats pretty funny. Same theater, same conditions.

Needs more rust…

…yes…

The Germans never used that kind of three color camo pattern in WWII. At least, the frustrated modeler got a little bit creative.

Shouldn’t the inside of the road wheels be red primer?..

Don

Definitely!!!

I’ve always liked the “ambush pattern” …
Well, it was more creative than overall rust red…perhaps the painter didn’t have access to an airbrush[^o)]

That is more like an “AMBUSHED !http://www.nevadashooters.com/images/smilies/th_smiley_emoticons_zombie02.gifPATTERN”.

The pattern actually reminds me a bit of some designs drawn for cartoons created and broadcast during the very early 1960s[^o)]
