A different PE adhesion question

I say different as I have a set that is multi-layered with a plastic film. So it will go: kit part - film - PE part - film - PE part. I usually set PE with CA, and then seal all the edges with Future. I fear to use the CA with the addition of the plastic film. (It might be acetate, I don’t know.)

I’ve had no problems using white glue with PE plus it shouldn’t discolor the clear acetate. If the glue is too thick for your purposes it can also be thinned with water.

Cool! I was thinking white glue, but I wanted to see whate somebody else thought! Thanks!

I often use white glue (usually thinned a bit) for attaching PE anyway. Gives me more setting time to reposition piece, and it leaves less effect on the surface I am applying the PE to if I smudge adhesive beyond extent of part.

White glue or Future.

Agreed. As long as there’s no stress involved structure-wise, Future works a treat. Plus, it’s foolproof as far as lining up the instrument faces with the holes.
