A couple Luftwaffe AC in progress

Here a couple of my current projects. the RM Bf-110 and AMtech HS-123, both in 1/48

The HS-123 is my first for Resin an scribing panel lines. It has been an enjoyable build

The Bf-110 has needed very little putty but a little more test fitting than normal (for me) due to the nacells.

Looking good so far!
Do you find it easier scribing on resin?

Oh, wait…you said it’s your first time for resin AND for scribing…
SO,
Do you find it easy scribing on resin? (note lack of comparative form!)

Oops, let me clarify:
The HS-123 is the old Ertl injection kit re-released by AMtech with an updated Resin interior by Black Box and new, unspatted, injection landing gear.
Sorry for any confusion.

To scribe I used two methods:

  1. Triangular file, there is a how-to on www.spasticforplastic.com .
  2. Back side of #11 blade.
Both are pretty easy and I haven’t decided which I prefer.

I cut the resin parts from their molding blocks with the back of the #11 blade also and it was very effective and quick. At first I was pressing too hard and broke a couple parts (easily repaired with super glue) before I got the hang of it.

Hey there looking good clay youll halft to post pics when there done.

Good looking builds, Claymore. Keep us posted.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I’m getting better withe the digicam and my photo editing software so the pics should be better next set.
