I’m looking for an A-26 kit, 1/48th to build a “Nimrod” from NKP, Thailand. where I was stationed. Anybody know of a good kit? I’ve looked for for one but can’t seem to find one.

See what happens when you’re not looking for something. It’s not ‘ole timers’ disease either. Found a Revell kit #8-RM5508. As you were and thinks just for being here.
hey didfal;
R/M just re-released that kit here resently I can’t remember if it’s the R/m side or R-Germany side, a great site to check out is www.greatmodels.com and they’ll get you all hooked up
cuda
The one I found was revell Kit #8-RM5508. I don’t think its revell-Germany. Thanks for the info, I’ll check into it.
I live in the boonies (Vallejo, CA) between Sacramento and SF with no shops locally. Have to buy my kits either at Michael’s or Walgreens, etc.
We were going to have a model show here but it CNX. So, between FMS and the forum I try my best. Sticky fingers and all.
didfal,
It’s only a little over an hour’s drive for you to get to San Antonio Hobbies in Palo Alto or D&J Hobbies in Campbell. They’re two of the largest hobby shops in the country.

San Jose
thanks for the info. There’sone in Napa that I’ve been trying to get to. I can normally get what I want cheaper at other stores. Or order through Squadron or Model Expo for more exotic items.
That’s true! I’ve found a few OOP gems in the toy department at Walgreen’s
or Long’s at much lower than hobby shop prices. I’ve also ordered from Squadron and Model Expo and never been disappointed.

Should have added, when you get to building your A-26 you might want to take a drive to Travis and check out the A-26’s there. We converted one into a Nimrod.
Talk nice to the museum folks and they’ll most likely let you crawl all over it.

I’m out a Trvis twice a month, but usually only to the commissary. It’s been some years since I went to the museum. I have two sons down in Tucson; visited but didn’t get a chance to go to the Pima Air Museum, one of the best in the West.
Again, thanks for the info; once winter sets in I’ll be MIA i the tools shed. Sticky fingers and all.
