A-20G Models in 1:72...

Good Afternoon, All!

I’ve been on the look-out for a 1:72 scale Douglas A-20G plastic model kit, but haven’t seen hide nor hair of one! Does anyone know of a company producing such a kit? I’m interested in modelling the low-level strafers of the Pacific in WW2, and have already got a B-25J kit, so now I’m looking for it’s partner the A-20G.

Capn. I think Revell produced a 1/72 scale A-20 in a couple of variations many years ago (30+). They are re-releasing a number of their old kits as part of a 50th aniversary celebration and maybe the A-20 will be one of the re-released kits. Otherwise try e-bay. IIR one of the kit variations was the P-70 night attack aircraft. I think that Airfix or Frog, or maybe Matchbox, had a release of the A-20 but I’m not sure about that. Again, you might find one on e-bay.

Capt, I to have been looking for an A-20 for some time now. I know they were released a long time ago and they seemed to have disapered. I haven’t seen one anywhere. Good luck in your search, maybe we’ll get in a bidding war when one does appear on evil bay.

There is a Revell P-70 on e-bay right now!

Airfix made 1/72nd scale models of the Baltimore and the Maryland. Was one of these the A-20? I seem to recall one of these being the A-20 that was sold to the English.

The Brits called the A20 the Boston… Maybe Hasagawa has an eye on doing one in the future…They are finally going to relaease a B 26 in 1/72 in a few months.

The old Revell kit is just that a very old and inaccurate kit.

From memory I think it was Frog who made the Baltimore/Maryland. Airfix did a Boston with the open dorsal gun position. Matchbox did an A-20G with the dorsal turret.
