A-1E, 'Blue Room' Tint?

Building a A1-E, (Revell 1/72, #04398) and need advice on how to tint it BLUE![:@]

I’ve heard of 2 different techniques:

Krystal Clear w/blue foood dye or Future w/food dye![:(]

Any suggestions/tips/advice will be greatly appreciated![:D[

Are you talking about tinting clear parts? I have good results airbrushing on Tamiya or Gunze clear paints over the clear part. In the case of a large canopy like on the A-1E you will have to mask off the area that are to remain untinted.

Mask the canopy section & use Tamaya clear blue acryl. You could also get away with using a blue “sharpie” marker for 1/72

That was taken a this years Nats and the builder used Alclad 2 Transparent Blue.
