I’m planning on building Eduard’s P-40N kit, and I want to do it as an a/c from the 80th FG in the CBI theater. In the P-40 in action book, it says that numbers on these a/c ranged from 12 to 50-something. I really want to do a/c #12, because 12 is my favorite number (it’s kinda like the movie “23”, but with 12). However, I can’t find any photos or any references, really, on either this a/c or the 80th FG in general. does anyone know of some (preferably online) references?
I have five 80th FG profiles of the P-40N which I’ll be more than happy to share with you.
I’ll scan them as soon as I get home. [8D]
Check page 49 and 50 of P-40s in Action. The description on page 49 even mentions #12! Hope that helps!
Here are five P-40N profiles from the 80th FG (mixed in with a few others) [:)]
Edit - forgot to post the reference. These are from an excellent series of books in English (published by the French [:)]) I have two of their Bf109 reference books and plan on getting more of them. I highly recommend them!
