Max–that is what I thought when I started the Seaview. It still is, but, it always evolves into an more elaborate build. I am gonna watch and see if you fall into the same trap! LOL.

Hey thanks Steve! This light-hearted project is just to keep me socially linked to the Forum and my friends on it.

I wasn’t going to say anything, Steve…
I hit send too quick. I agree. BTW–since we seem to have similar likes. If you have Netflix–I might have some recommendations for you.
Way to go about the Library! You are taking your builds and using them for others to enjoy. You are an inspiration! Seriously–that is cool Max. [Y] Let us know how it goes and yes–please post images.
Funny about the Varoom sounds. LOL.
Guilty as charged! Feeling shame. [:$]
Hey Steve, What fun this thing is with it’s naughty modifications!
Ok, back to work–couldn’t resist. [8-|]
Hey Max! That is creative and funny as heck! Thanks for the laugh…
Hey, the project is still on the bench. I’ve been seriously distracted by the Library model display I’ve somehow gotten myself into. We did have a miracle warm Winter day in Kansas and the chassis on my motorcycle project did get painted which is also sending me in a different direction. This retirement is wearing me down! More to come, the Corvette is fun and funny. [8-|]
Max
Hey Max… tell us more about the Library Model Display. How far along are you with it?
Hey Steve. All in place. Check above under General Modeling Discussion/Taking the collection to town. More to come. My journalist wife today is writing an article for the local newspaper and Library web site to promote this thing. Kinda outta control at this point!

Ah, back to the silly project for a few moments. The out-of-box engine looks to be totally inaccurate with a cylindrical turbine looking thing. I’ll try to convert it back to a fire breathing V8 with massive asymetrical induction scoops feeding the fake intercooler. Sounds good anyway. We do want it to be fast.
Max
Interesting project. that engine is hilarious. do keep it if you replace it. it’ll look good in a ‘batmobile’
These asymetrical intakes will add air at two stages in the fake intercooler which should add several hundred horsepower to this strange looking engine. Maybe we can fool part of the people some of the time or something like that. Hmm, this "no rules’’ concept really is fun! [8-|]
Max

Varooom!
You are building a concept car. I like it! Can’t wait to see what you bolt on next…
Bit of “Thread Drifting” In the late 60s early 70s there was a comic book called CARtoons which was quite amusing. Anyhoo one of their plots was the conversion of a WW2 US halftrack into a drag racer. Now.that would be a fun modeling project.
Ha! A little better view of the Titanium ducting installed and some body work and cutting through the hood so that these ducts really do work! I also used some Duplicolor 2 in 1 filler/primer and checked for crazing. All is well.
Max
PLEASE tell me that is NOT the engine that you’re going to use!!! UGH!!! It’s just too damned ugly!! Interesting project though. I haven’t had any place and NOW time to do anything productive. I have been uploading pictures to picture trail so that I can get some of my work reactivated on the forum when I get ready to give everything the green light again. I know how it feels to be limited by your surroundings, and by the weather itself. I’ll keep watching - this looks like it will be fun although painting will be another story. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Max… it looks cool.
It’s like “Corvett Summer” -meet’s- “Back To The Future”
Wait a moment… that engine look’s a bit like … like…
The Reactor from the Seaview ???
Cool project Max. Looks like you are having fun with it. The engine reminds me of the Chrysler turbine car.
Thanks Gang! I must say that I’ve never built a model where I find myself giggling or having bursts of manical laughter. Maybe I’m on to something in entertainment. [8-|]
