8/02/05 Updated pics of Dragon Wagon project.

These are a couple pics of the current status of the trailer for the M26 Dragon Wagon. Using the schmatic shown in A Visual History Of The U.S. Army’s Heavy Tank Transporter 1941-1955 I have scratch built the air brake system for the trailer. Most of this work will be hidden when the two halves of the trailer assembly are merged together, but some parts of it will show, enhancing the overall detail.

Please feel free to make any comments pro or con regarding this project all remarks and suggestions are appreciated. Semper Fi, Mike

[:D] looks good to me,how big is the kit?[:D]

Very good progress, as per usual.

Hi Roy (Gdarwin), Nice to hear from you! You asked what the size of the Dragon Wagon was? It’s the Tamiya 1/35 scale kit and measures out around 21-22 inches when assembled. This is an excellently engineered kit and very user friendly. I would recommend it to anyone with average modelling experience.
Zoran! Thanks as always for your interest and comments.

Great progress! Nice detail on the lines, they might not all show but we’ll know.[:D]

Thanks Matt! One thing about doing a build like this where you’re trying to improve your detail and scratch techniques is, if it doesn’t look to good you have the consolation of knowing that a good part of it is not going to show anyway because most of it will be hidden by additional assembly. LOL. Thanks for your comment. Semper Fi, Mike

mike, it is amazing the work you do… very nice job. i look forward to watch this one go forward

no need to worry about hiding any of what i see there yw18mc it all looks spot on to me great job so far, this is gonna be a very nice piece when its finished

Looking darn good so far. Keep the updates coming.

Looking great! I love the detail.

Thanks Geoff, Ron, John, And Anthony for your interest and comments. I hope I’m not making this to big a deal on my project by posting so many progress pics but In my mind it’s always kind of neat to see how something comes together and hopefully it shows others that it’s within their own capabilities. As an average modeller whatever I’m able to do, others should have no problems with. Patience is the key for me, and looking and learning from our journeyman modellers who give very generously to our forum. Thank you again friends. Semper Fi, Mike
