75th Anniversary F-18

I have Leading Edge’s 1/48 decals for a 75th anniversary 410 Squadron F-18A. What paint (preferably acrylic) would be a good match for the dark blue and light blue colours? Also, what did the aircraft carry under the wings? Thanks.

Isn’t that a Canadian Squadron?

Yup, it’s the 75th anniversary RCAF version.

Im not sure about the colours but theres a few not too bad photos of it here http://s96920072.onlinehome.us/AWA1/001-100/walk009_75th_CF-18A/walk009.htm

I’ll have nightmares about trying to match the Checkerboard pattern on that one version.

TB2: You probably won’t find an acrylic paint to match…I tried but ended up using Testors paint…enamel…but I can’t recall the stock number.

The upper and lower greys are standard on all F-18s but I’m looking at my model and I really don’t know what Iroc means by a checkerboard pattern…there just isn’t any.

With the Leading Edge decals, use warm water to soften them and lots of decal set to flow them into place…the results are spectacular. See my web site for the finished product
