This is my first post on this forum, glad I found it. Just got back into modeling airliners, use to do it when I was in the army.
Anyways back in my army days I started a 1/144 scale 727 that i never finished, found it the other day in my attic and wanna start it up again, only problem is i’m missing the landing gear and i would like to complete it with the landing gear down. Any suggestions where i could find some gear or does anyone have some extras they could set me up with?
To fill you in about the 727, I want to complete with the eastern whisperjet white finish, need to find where i can get a set of those decals. Also need to scribe panel lines in the fuselage.
Following up on this, I would also like to know if landing gear could be scratch built and if anyone has done it with thier models.
The eastern whisperjet scheme that i mentioned is one of the scheme’s that i want to do. I’m also thinking about the delta widget scheme for it, so i’m in decision mode right now. Where can i get the shades of white for either paint job?
The reason for my schemes is I liked the airlines paint schemes from the 80’s and early 90’s and want model airliners from that era. I know the whisperjet scheme is from the 70’s and eastern switched to an all metal in the 80’s. That’s pretty much what i want to do with the models i build. I’ve seen the pics of everyone else’s builds and they are awesome!
