hey guys, just working on this Nova kit here and there.
made up the engine over the last couple days
I added some filler strips on each side of the firewall so those big gaps from the kit hood hinges aren’t there!
just gotta add the battery and a couple more hose clamps.
Beautiful work on the engine bay. Did that carb come with the kit?

the carb is from the polar lights nascar kits.
since I’m doing a nice shiny car this time i gotta find someplace to add a little rust! lol a bit of surface rust on the old gas tank will work.
James, I have three of those Polar Lights kits in my closet, I’m going to have to pay more attention to what is in them, lol!

lol, pick up some clear silicone and make molds of them so you can make copies!
finished the chassis weathering and installed the exhaust pipes
chassis underside is completed
decided to go with more modern wheels. they are Revell, not sure what kit though.I detailed them with oil colors to add depth.
I also added carpet in the interior.

Excellent weathering on the underside. This is a really nice kit, never had the opportunity to add one to my personal collection yet, all the times this has graced my bench has been commissions. What are you painting the body with? My favorite TS-13 is on Uncle Sams s**t list atm so I need an alternate clear that won’t ruin my body like trash…I mean Testors…
thanks, I’ll be using my normal dupli-color paints and clears on the body.

scratch made a guitar. just eyeballed the size, I figure if it fits across the backseat it would be close enough lol

also went back and made all the guitar strings straight and locked them down by brushing hairspray on it.

I’m curious, what glue did you use to attach the side panels and seats to the painted and flocked surfaces. I’m always hesitant to glue painted items together.
That’s an ingenious idea. I would have never thought of using hairspray for something like that.
I need to file that tidbit for later…

hairspray is a good glue and it dries flat…
heres the color, its “cranberry” from dupli-color. the second pic shows the deep shade better.
