Hi everyone! I hope the photo shows up. First time posting a picture. I am not entirely new to building models but it has been many years since I have built one. I am trying to learn all of the great techniques that I have read about on this forum. I do not have an airbrush yet but I am using spray paint for the body. I am using glue, paint and paint brushes that I bought seperately. Any advice for the build?

Can anyone see the pic? It shows up on my end. With my iPhone a little box shows up and I click on it and the picture shows up. On the computer it shows up fine.

I saw the photo on your first post. It sounds like you are covered for this build with the products you purchased. Advice…since you’re going to use rattle cans make sure you wash the plastic and let it dry completely, and apply a white or light grey primer coat first brfore the color. I find that you get better coverage and adhesion. Mostly, just take your time and enjoy it!
So I wish I would have read this before about using primer. Alos I read somewhere to clean the parts aka wash them. But Here is what it looks like painted.

Your photos are not linking up. What type of photo host are you useing? A few of us use Image Shack and have zero to very little problems. Some use Flicker and so on. PhotoBucket has been having a lot of issues from what I have heard and read. Also, forgot to mention it in my first post, but I really like that kit and look forward to your progress.
Rule of thumb for me especially over the years if you can do it to a real car you can do it to a modelcar or visaversa ceptci keep holding the candle under my leaf springs on my ram 3500 cummins and the springs still havent softened up any lol
This is the color that I ended up going with. I am thinking of putting a black side stripe on it. I don’t work or build cars so I am struggling with what colors to use for the rest of the car. I have been using google and friends to help. I painted the undercarriage black and am looking into what colors to use for more detail.
Nice Roadrunner man. Maybe two black rally stripes would look extra sweet!
So this is what the bottom looks like so far. I will be putting on another coat of silver. Now I don’t know cars very well. But what else should be painted on the bottom? Please remember that to be specific so I can understand. Hopefully with doing these models I will learn the name of things LOL
Well, you’ve got the bottom pans, frame, and brake lines shown. For the 1969 Roadrunner/GTX, those elements were black from the factory so I think your good with what’s shown. The brake lines from the firewall to the brake booster are aluminum in the engine bay so make sure those get painted. The brake booster itself was a glossy black.
I glued the rear wheels, axle and exhaust assembly on. I put some dark wash on the rear axle. The exhaust tips need to be painted but other than that I think this turned out pretty good.
This is the engine before the chrome. I made my own wash and applied it for the very first time. I think that for this being the first time ever being done for me it turned out pretty good. I was looking for a nice realistic used engine and some depthe in the parts. I used acrylic paint with water.
After I put the chrome on. There is some painting that is needed to be done on the carburetor (I think that is what that part is that is blue). You can’t see but the manifolds are on also. Hope you enjoy. Some good progress has been done and should have more soon.
This is the look so far. No decals yet. Almost there. Just need to add a couple more pieces and so some glueing to keep the bottom and body together. It has come together a lot nicer than I thought it would since I haven’t done this in so long. There is a black decal to go around the trunk and I might paint a black stripe along the side.
First finished model in many years. Pretty excited about it. The black stripe on the back was taped off and spray painted. There were some pains during the build but I think it turned out pretty nice!
